Answered by David Morley · 7 March 2023. It sounds as though the transmission itself has encountered an internal failure for that level of mayhem. Diesel versions of this model Mondeo were fitted with a six-speed double-clutch transmission otherwise known as the Powershift transmission. Hi Guys, I have been having a starting trouble on my ford mondeo diesel 1.8 Tdci, mk4. Once the key is turned, the engine starts at first but then the engine shuts down as if no fuel and then it cranks but does not start. Mondeo 2010 2.0 tdci problems. Hell everyone! So i had this problem with my Mondeo 2010 2.0 tdci 140ps UFBA engine for long. I allready have car by mechanics for 4 months.so i was driving normaly and sudenly the engibe start smoking like a lot and idling.

I have a 2008 Mondeo 2.0ltr TDCI Titanium X and my ABS and Traction controls lights are perm on. I have read all the previous posts and checked both front ABS sensors and checked the wiring (even removed inner wheel arch covers) and found no abvious faults. I have checked the voltage at the electrical plug that fits onto both front ABS sensors
