I'm pretty sure "smart recording" and "every second" only apply to data recorded during activities (ie: running, cycling, etc.). Outside of an activity, it looks like one sample every 2 minutes is the norm. Like you, that's what I'm seeing on GC for both my vivomove HR and FR245M. MashV. i'm not so sure, if i watch the hr widget it changes
