SoDual Blade with Big Shield would help a lot in close-combat. You could shield charging them to break the big shield blocking by holding Parry (RB) while the shield is activated. For stealth, you could use Fire Bomb and throw at the guards resting (sitting) on the straw sheet. It kills everyone on that sheet, even the Captain.
